Michael G. Michlitsch, M.D.

Michlitsch began practicing orthopaedic medicine in 2001 after
earning his medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of the
University of Southern California. Dr. Michlitsch completed his
subsequent internship and residency at Los Angeles County – USC
Medical Center, where the demanding and intense environment rapidly
matured his knowledge and ability to offer innovative orthopaedic
treatment. His experience there with trauma patients and other
critical situations provided many significant opportunities for
extensive training early on in his professional life and shaped his
commitment to personalized attention and patient care.
Dr. Michlitsch has been fellowship-trained in arthroscopic knee,
shoulder, and elbow surgery and uses these techniques to effectively
return his patients back to sports and pain-free activities.
Furthermore, Dr. Michlitsch’s passion for sports and commitment to
staying abreast of new techniques in the field allow him to
personalize treatment for each patient’s specific condition.
Dr. Michlitsch currently practices orthopedic surgery with a special
interest in sports medicine at Muir Orthopaedic Specialists.
Committed and focused, he has authored numerous presentations and
publications on related topics including multi-ligamentous knee
injuries and the treatment of tennis elbow. He has developed and
performed biomechanical studies of a new treatment for shoulder
separations. He has been assistant team physician for Pasadena City
College and Occidental College, and was head team physician for
Eagle Rock High School.
Dr. Michlitsch is a member of the American Association of
Orthopaedic Surgeons.
